Green Beauty Protein Smoothie

Happy Monday babes! Today is check-in today. Time to load your measurements and photos to the app and restart your week. Think about what meals and snacks you want. How can you eat within your macros to crush your goals this week?

This is one of my go-to smoothies when I want to boost that inner beauty!

This protein smoothie is packed with protein, banana, mango, coconut water for hydration, collagen, and organic Spirulina/Moringa.

Spirulina is an organism that grows in both fresh and salt water.

This tiny alga is packed with nutrients. The taste to me is very earthy so work up slowly, start with a teaspoon, and move up to a tablespoon. A single tablespoon (7 grams) of dried spirulina powder contains (2Trusted Source):

  • Protein: 4 grams

  • Vitamin B1 (thiamine): 11% of the RDA

  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin): 15% of the RDA

  • Vitamin B3 (niacin): 4% of the RDA

  • Copper: 21% of the RDA

  • Iron: 11% of the RDA

  • It also contains decent amounts of magnesium, potassium and manganese and small amounts of almost every other nutrient that you need.

Per WebMD; Moringa Moringa oleifera is a plant native to northern India that can also grow in other tropical and subtropical places, like Asia and Africa. Folk medicine has used the leaves, flowers, seeds, and roots of this plant for centuries.

Benefits of Moringa Powder;

Moringa has many important vitamins and minerals. The leaves have 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 15 times more potassium than bananas. It also has calcium, protein, iron, and amino acids, which help your body heal and build muscle.

So you can see why I chose to add these two powders to my daily diet. Don't forget to add this powder to your cart and save this to your smoothie album on Pinterest for later!
